5312 lock set key will not turn

I have a 5312 lock set and key will not turn, the inside thumb turn works OK. Do I just need a new key cylinder?

Try swapping the thumb turn to outside of door to test operation, if this works OK then it is most likely just the 5520 cylinder that needs replacing.
